Vietnam Airlines is getting ten new Airbus A321 passenger jets and the second one arrived at Noi Bai International Airport on Thursday. Four more will be delivered later this year. Another four are scheduled for arrival in the next two years. Vietnam Airlines is expanding so it will improve the quality of its domestic flight service, satisfy its plan to commence flights to the US, as well as open up new routes and increase training and the application of new technology. At about 6:20am Wednesday two buses traveling at a high rate of speed on the National Highway in the Phu Loc district collided head on instantly killing four and leaving six others suffering from brain trauma. This accident was the second in the district within the last two weeks. In the previous accident on January 10, five bus passengers were killed and eight were seriously injured. According to the recent statistics from the Health Ministry the average fatalities per year from traffic accidents in Vietnam is 11,000.Original source: Thanhnien News. Bui Van Duc, director of the National Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting Centre, said that Vietnam will try to attract weather experts into working with the government as well as offering international training to forecasters in an attempt to improve disaster preparedness.
