New radio program to educate Vietnamese youth about HIV/AIDS

On Wednesday a new radio program launched by the Danish International Development Agency in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund and the Voice of Vietnam radio in an effort to educate young people in Vietnam about HIV/AIDS. The program's long-term goal is to increase awareness and access to reproductive services. The radio show will air 104 episodes as a serialized soap opera. It will be broadcast in 64 Vietnamese provinces and cities and in several ethnic dialects.

US$1billion resort on southern Vietnam island

US-based Rockingham Asset Management company has gotten the license for its $1billion resort on Phu Quoc Island in southern Vietnam. The island will be a luxury resort with more than 2,000 rooms and villas for rent, a 6-hole golf course, a motor racetrack, a tourism school, and other tourism facilities. The resort should be completed in 2015.

Clear Path International is one of the most active U.S.-based humanitarian organizations against cluster bombs in Central Vietnam. These bombs are still used to kill and maim. Typically a single bomb strews over a football field sized area 200 to 600 of the explosives.
