According to a 2006 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Survey completed by roughly 21,000 subscribers, Vietnam's five-star hotels are among the best in the world. The first winner is The Sheraton Saigon Hotel and Towers in Ho Chi Minh City, because of its close proximity to everything tourists are interested in seeing. Although most people still refer to Ho Chi Minh City as Saigon, that doesn't stop it from being the bustling shopping mecca of Vietnam. Name brands articles can be purchased for a fraction of the cost of what they cost in the West.
